Athletics at MLK

  • Baseball
    Baseball

    We offer high school baseball at MLK in the spring each year.  In 2021, our boys won the district tournament and five players were selected to the all district team.  For tryouts and more information, reach out to Coach Dearing.

  • Basketball
    Basketball

    We offer middle school basketball and high school basketball for both girls and boys each winter.  Our high school boys were 2019 district champions and 2018 district runner ups.  Contact the appropriate coach below for more information.

    Bowling

    We offer high school girls and boys bowling in the fall/winter each year.  In 2020, our girl's team competed and won first place in the district overall and the boys competed and finished in 2nd place in the district tournament.  For more information on bowling at MLK reach out to Coach Stewart.

    We have cheerleading squads for middle school and high school at MLK.  For tryouts or more information, reach out to the appropriate coach below.

    At MLK we have cross-country running each fall for high school boys and girls.  For more information contact Coach Gabrys.

    At MLK we offer girls' flag football as a spring sport. Reach out the the coach for conditioning, tryouts and more information.

    At MLK, we do not have our own football teams.  However, we partner with McKissack Middle School to offer middle school football and we partner with Pearl Cohn High School to offer high school football.  For tryouts and more information, reach out to the appropriate coach below.

    We offer golf at MLK in the fall for both high school girls and boys.  In 2020 our boys' team were district champions and in 2021 they were district runner ups.  For tryouts and more information, reach out to Coach Anderson.

    We offer soccer for all students at MLK.  Our girls middle school and high school teams play in the fall each year.  Our boys middle and high school teams play in the spring.  Our middle school girls are the district runner-ups for 2021.  Our high girls got their highest national ranking this year (2021).  For tryouts and more information, please reach out to the appropriate coach.

    We offer girls high school softball each spring at MLK.  For tryouts and other information, reach out to Coach McInnis.  Our softball team has won the district championship in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and has appeared in regionals every year since 2014.
