Mr. Kearney has taught 8th grade social studies for 8 years at MLK.
When asked what he loves most about teaching at MLK, Mr. Kearney says, "The thing I love most about being an educator at MLK is the relationships with the students. Daily, I am encouraged by the faces of old students, who visit me and share what is going on in their lives. This constant reminder helps me realize that my role in their life goes way beyond their performance in the classroom. If I can instill the values of good citizenship, responsibility, and the value of hearing other people’s beliefs without reserving judgement, then I count that as success!"
